What qualifies for a correction

Examples include a statement that does not match the cited paper, an outdated treatment recommendation, a mislabeled evidence level, an incorrect organism or drug name, a broken source link, or wording that overstates what a study demonstrated.

How to report one

Use the contact form and include the page URL, the exact statement, and the strongest supporting source. Primary studies, official guidelines and public-health sources are preferred over screenshots or unsourced social posts.

How changes are handled

Minor typographical fixes may be made without a note. Material medical or scientific changes should update the page's “sources last checked” or modification date. A correction should preserve the distinction between what the old evidence showed and what newer evidence now shows.

Disagreements versus errors

Not every disagreement is a factual error. Where reliable sources genuinely conflict, the goal is to describe the disagreement and the evidence behind each position instead of forcing a false certainty.
