Privacy policy

This policy explains the types of information that may be processed when you visit Beat Babesia and how third-party services may be used if analytics, advertising, email signup or affiliate features are enabled.

Information you provide

If you voluntarily submit information through a contact form, newsletter signup or another interactive feature, the information you enter may be processed for the purpose stated on that form. Do not submit sensitive medical information through general website forms.

When the site is hosted on Netlify, submissions sent through the Contact page may be processed and stored using Netlify Forms so the site owner can receive and review the message. Do not submit private medical records or other highly sensitive personal information.

Server and technical data

Web hosting providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps and security logs. This information is commonly used to deliver the site, prevent abuse and troubleshoot technical problems.

Analytics and cookies

If analytics is enabled, an analytics provider may use cookies or similar technologies to measure page views, referral sources, device information and site performance. Where required by law, consent controls should be used before nonessential cookies are stored.

Advertising and affiliate links

Third-party advertising or affiliate networks may process referral parameters, cookies or conversion events when a user clicks a monetized link. Affiliate relationships are disclosed separately on the Affiliate Disclosure page and near applicable recommendations.

Email services

If a newsletter is offered, the email service provider may process the address and related subscription data. Subscribers should be able to unsubscribe using the link provided in each marketing email.

Links to PubMed, journal websites, CDC, IDSA, laboratories, retailers and other third parties lead to sites with their own privacy practices. Beat Babesia does not control those external policies.
